Fall Skincare routine updates – it’s that time!

So it’s that time of year, again…

Basics rejoice! It’s pumpkinuggsscarvessweaterspalooza! I feel like I missed something there. Alas, with the season comes the need to refresh our skincare routines and the keyword here is HYDRATION. I’m looking at all you oily skinned girls, too. WE NEED MOISTURE.

Last week I posted a rather amusing photo of myself on Instagram slathered in this dubious green concoction. Let me tell you… That avocado, yogurt, and honey mask was the bees knees. Hydration, lactic acid, and vitamin C heaven. It’s no quickie – I left it on for a good half hour or so and there were still some places that hadn’t dried, so I’d suggest incorporating it into a once a week routine if you’re a busy gal like myself.

Recipe: 1 tbsp plain organic yogurt, 1/2 avocado, 1 tsp honey

That’s it. Nothing fancy. I whipped it up in my kitchen in minutes and voilà, well on my way to smooth, hydrated skin heaven. Doing a moisture mask one to three times per week will do that mug good!

My moisturizer of choice this season is Osea’s Atmosphere Protection Cream. It has a glorious, lightweight texture that layers beautifully with my SPF and under makeup. I scored this gem in my summer FabFitFun box and it’s become a staple in my skincare routine. Can we talk about packaging?! I’m never one to judge a product by its container but this ecologically conscious company uses glass, and the pump keeps the product clean and uncompromised.

A moisturizer that is hot this season is Laneige Water Bank moisturizer available at select Target stores and Target.com (I’ve used this for an extra rich night cream in colder months) and it won’t break the bank. It’s available in formulas for normal combo skin, and dry to very dry skin. Over a texting conversation this evening with one of my girlfriends, she inquired my opinion of The Body Shop’s Vitamin E Moisture Cream and I instantly recalled that not only being my personal go-to for years, but it was a hero product among my clients as well. It’s perfect for all skin types.

What are some of your favorite products to combat seasonal dry skin? Let me know in the comments or reach out to me!

Happy fall, y’all!

Jen ❤
